HOWARD GILBERT
THB 1997-1993

I left CH in 1993 and went to Durham University to study Japanese and Management. I spent some time working in Japan after university and then returned to London to work in the City. But after some years in a rather unfulfilling office job, I decided to have a career change and become an osteopath. This decision was not taken lightly, and the expense to get through the course was considerable.

Becoming a university student again at the age of 29 was not a welcome prospect! However, thanks to the generosity of the BSB, I was fortunate enough to receive an interest free loan which helped me pay my way through the latter part of the course. I qualified as an osteopath last year and I am now in a much more fulfilling profession and thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you BSB for your support and enabling my career change to be a smooth one.
